Bonneville Salt Flats

In 2014 I attended a conference in Salt Lake City. Since it was my first time visiting, I took a few extra days - and on one of those days I took an hour and a half drive west from Salt Lake to the Bonneville Salt Flats.

The claim is that the landscape is so flat you can see the curve of the earth. I saw no such thing, maybe it was too hazy that day. 

What I did see was a surreal moonscape, with crystal blue streams trickling through a hardened, dusty salt bed. The pictures truly don't do it justice, but I tried...
