<p>Somehow, this simple sign on a post in Baltimore stuck in my memory better than 99% of the information I&#8217;m inundated with on a daily basis. Why? Because it didn&#8217;t have a lot of competition. Email blasts, search ads, commercials &#8211; I&#8217;m conditioned to block these things out.</p>
<p>But a bright yellow sign on a post while walking along the street caught me. I didn&#8217;t see any other yellow signs on posts while walking, so this anomaly caught my attention quite effectively. No, I don&#8217;t believe democracy is the right to vote in our own dictators. I also shouldn&#8217;t underestimate the effect the simple lunacy of the message had on my attention, but still&#8230;</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve so much information at our fingertips today. I guess sifting through it all is the hardest part. I didn&#8217;t have to sift through anything when I stumbled upon this simple yellow sign.</p>
