Unfortunately, sometimes it’s only in the ashes where we find clarity. Sometimes we want so much for something to work, that we lose ourselves in blinders. We see only what could be, and ignore what actually is. Only after what could be dissipates into what could have been, when we’re assessing the ashes of everything else we’ve neglected, do we sometimes finally face the truth.
While that sounds depressing, maybe it’s not. Ashes offer an opportunity to build, from scratch, something new.
